first day of classes
Graduate school has begun!
I had my first class today, Statistics. Very exciting stuff. We didn’t really get into much but it seems extremely similar to the statistics that I took in undergrad so that should be nice and easy
I am also taking Qualitative Methods in IR, Managerial Economics, and Economic Anthropology.
It is interesting to see the area come to life with classes. When i first started moving in it all seemed quite tame, and over the period of a week it has become packed with students. The weather has been nice, although it definitely takes some getting used to. I bought a pair of Chuck Taylors the other day because i was sick and tired of walking in my flipflops through torrential (for a Californian) rain. I also have realized that my serious aversion to umbrellas is going to have to come to an end, as they seem to be lifesavers….I’m going to have to buy a few more to keep in every purse/backpack/locker. Other than that, I still haven’t quite figured out what to wear. It always seems to be quite cold when i leave the house in the morning, and by mid-day it is sweltering and humid — a terrible combination for clothing…
