holler!

so it has been a while since i have written, oopsy.  Problem is, i came down wiht a sickness while we were in Bayahibe for the weekend.  The weekend itself was absolutely incredible, we saw some of the most gorgeous beaches i have ever seen (rivaled only by zanzibar, of the beaches i have seen).  The town we stayed in was adorable, very small and quaint, a ton of restaurants right on the water, a lot of fishing boats…over all an extremely relazing getaway.  On saturday we did an amazing catamaran trip to Isla Saona, which was to die for, the bluest warmest water, with incredibly white sand….the entire day was absolute heaven.

That night we went to a disco in the area, which ended up being a very funny experience, as we seemed to be the only females in there that were not prostitutes - it was very entertaining to watch.  The place was alright, but it didnt get to be really fun until the techno music started up - then i was in my element :)  and rosie was very much not, haha.

Anyway, i woke up the next day feeling terrible, and it has not really left since.  I am going on the third doctor visit three days in a row, as i am extremely frustrated that i have not started feeling better yet. So the week has been very melow for us, we have done a lot of laying around, a lot of learning about hospitals in the DR (im just racking up my experiences of foreigh hospitals).  I am really hoping to be feeling better tomorrow because it is our last day of class, and also the day we were meant to be leaving for the northern shore of the island for the next week.  We have decided taht we will definitely not be leaving until at least saturday now, so hopefully everything will be back to normal by then….rosie and i are both crossing our fingers :/

Well that about sums it up for this past week, it hasnt been too exciting…oh, and i had another camera stolen, and am once again in a gorgeous place with no camera to remember it by, haha….good thing rosie is pulling her weight
